VALUABLE TRIP INSURANCE DURING HURRICANE SEASON
Trip insurance - If you plan on taking a cruise vacation this year, please keep in mind how important it is to purchase trip insurance especially if you plan on taking a Caribbean cruise during hurricane season (between June 1st - November 30th). Let’s say that something came up and you had to cancel your trip right before your departure, without the appropriate trip insurance, the money that you paid prior to the scheduled departure will not be reimbured back to you.
Although many Cruise liners can sail around a hurricanes path, keep in mind that many areas and attractions including airports and cruise ports can’t dodge these hurricanes forcing many to shut down for days which will have a huge impact on your travel plans. If you are stuck without any insurance, you will have to fork out hundreds more just to get to a new port or even if you plan on going back home.
If you can’t make it to the ship on time, remember that cruise ships can’t and won’t wait meaning that you will be out of luck and money too!
